Mineral Springs Hotel

Join Haunted Nights as we investigate the very historic & haunted Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton, IL. Alton is considered the most haunted small town in America, with the former hotel being its most notorius haunting! Guests will be asked to arrive between 5:30PM-6:30PM for sign in & meet & greet with Haunted Nights investigators. We strongly encourage guests to visit the shops in the mall that will remain open until 6:00PM!

A history tour of the location will run from 7:00PM-8:00PM. The investigation portion of the night will be 8:00PM-4:00AM. Guests are encouraged to bring any paranormal equipment they may have. If you do not have any there will be plenty of equipment for you to borrow for the night! 

Free snacks & soft drinks will also be available all night.

History

Mineral Springs Hotel was built in 1914 & operated until 1971. During its time as a hotel it featured the largest swimming pool in all of Illinois! The pool was filled with mineral water that many believed had healing benefits. Guests would travel from all over in hopes that a swim would cure them of any ailments. There are a number of reported deaths inside the hotel that span each floor. After closing its doors the building was renovated into the Mineral Springs Mall & still operates as such today.

Paranormal

Guests & employees have experienced a wide range of different paranormal activity over the years. Reports of full bodied apparitions, disembodied voices & footsteps are frequent within this massive location. There are even reports of a child ghost who enjoys to play marbles with any willing participants!
